Baby Addison Rae Pasho

New Mom in Utica "Truly Blessed"

For every ending, there is a new beginning.

That is exactly the outlook that Candace Malone and Eric Pasho, both of Utica, have toward the birth of their beautiful new baby girl, Addison Rae Pasho.

A little over three years ago, on December 6, 2008, a tragic event impacted Candace's life. This was the death of her father, Leo Martin Malone, with whom she was very close. The loss of her father had a monumental effect on Candace, and it was difficult for her to adjust to living with out him.

Three years later, on December 6, 2011, Candace's first child, Addison Rae, was born. When Candace had first heard that her due date was December 6, she was taken aback, and she asked her doctor to reevaluate the pregnancy. Her due date was then set for November 27, 2011. Addison Rae still had not arrived by then, and after nine days, Candace's doctors induced labor. Two days after the induction, with no delivery progress, doctors performed her C-section, and Addison Rae was born. The correlation between the date of her father's death and the date of her daughter's birth has had a tremendous emotional impact on Candace, Eric, and all of their family and friends. The emotion has spread substantially through the social networking site Facebook, where Candace's status reads:

"December 6, 2008 was quite possibly the worst day of my entire life, it was the day that my father Leo Martin Malone passed away. People always say that a tragedy can someday turn into something beautiful, and for every death there is also a new life created. I never fully appreciated those statements until December 6, 2011. This was the BEST day of my entire life. Our daughter Addison Rae Pasho was born. I have never loved someone in the way that I love her, she is a blessing from God and she is a lucky little girl because she has the most amazing guardian angel anyone could ask for! R.I.P. Dad, I will tell Addison about you everyday, her whole life. I know that you will always be watching her. I am truly blessed."

This status garnered 77 'likes' and a rash of comments, each commenting on how much of a miracle this turned out to be.

Candace and Eric are currently elated with their new addition and can't wait to take Addison home.
