This year instead of doing a gift exchange Girl Scouts of NYPENN troop number 304 decided that they wanted to donate money to the community. The troop donated half the funds to the Sauquoit Volunteer Fire Company and the other half to the Sauquoit Valley Friends and Neighbors. It is so great to see kids their age being so selfless and willing to support their community any way they can. The fire company would like to give much thanks to the girls for their donation and their leaders that have instilled these important values. And remember to support your local girl scout troop this year with their cookie sales.
