I found hail in one of the storms at around 3:45pm. I was north of Little Falls on route 170. Earlier today a storm produced strong gusty winds in Dolgeville. Not enough to cause widespread damage, but enough to get your attention. I need to get a anemometer! I found a few twigs on the back roads around Dolgeville. According to the beaufort wind scale it might have reached 30-40 mph. Interesting as the storm approached Dolgeville, it sounded like there was a countinous roar. It sounded and looked like there was constant lightning going on in the anvil, but not much cloud to ground lighting. I didn't see any cloud to ground in the 4 cells that I watched. Maybe someone else did, but I didn't.
