These are pictures of the June 5, 2012 Transit of Venus taken by Jamie Pierce, age 8. He and his father used a refractor telescope to project the sun's image onto a piece of paper taped to cardboard. They followed Venus' path across the sun from first contact until it was blocked by the neighbor's trees. These are the best three photos that were taken. Venus is the dot in the upper right-hand section of the sun's disk.
