Crews from D.H. Smith Co. Inc., of Clayville worked throughout the morning to remove the Philip Street bridge originally built in 1924 for Model-T cars. With the new Frederick Street bridge opened for public access crews began demolition with the official collapse occurring around 2pm this afternoon.
