The Friends of Herkimer Home are having their annual Independence Day church service at the Ft. Herkimer Church on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M.

Ft. Herkimer Church was built by Johan Jost Herkimer, the father of Nicholas Herkimer, in 1754 in the town of German Flatts. The Church was recently restored to its former state and is now a shining example of an 18th century church.

All are welcome to attend, and all are welcome to come down to the Herkimer Home State Historicc Site to partake in a lovely pot luck picnic.
