He is not at falt. The car in front of him made a dead stop to turn left. he tried to avoid hitting the car by going into the left lane.

EVEN IF a car makes a dead stop and someone hits you from behind it is STILL the responsibility of vehicles behind you to keep a SAFE STOPPING DISTANCE. Just be Thankful that NO ONE was killed. I know I am! Glad your still with us Dan and Eddie!

As a truck driver "Dan", what would you do go up over top or go around a person in front of you faced with that same split second decision he had? I am extremely thankful that someone else was riding with you all that day and that everyone is "ok"!

Linda as a truck drivre I can say that if I were travling on a 2 lane road and saw a car making a left hand turn and could not stop I would have tryed 2 go around that car on the right not the left

I disagree with Ginny and Dan. I do agree with Andy. Why did you make a sudden stop to turn onto state dam rd when there is a off ramp for 28 north a little ways down the road...also there is a quickie mart a 100yds down the rd turn off there.

HA! You really need to get with the age's sunny, there are many truck drivers in my family and they definitely know better than to cross a double solid line. How big are the trucks you drive? 150's? 250's? Learn the rules of the road.

The car did not make a dead stop. It was already in the lane turning when he was hit.Why would a truck go in the left lane when he knew the car was turning left? There was a car behind the turning car so he passed two cars on the left.

Mike I feal for you if you cant accept the facts but he did cross a double yellow line to hit me and i was not stoped I was travling slowly with my left turn signal on. I have nothing more to say this banter is pointless.

Mike just be thankful there were no cars traveling in the other lane the car he hit would have had to stop and wait for them before making his left turn and your uncle would of hit any north bound cars head on and Im sure it would have been muchworse

Of course the car is not going to take any blame, most people don't own up to mistakes. But, reguardless, the smart place to turn is the Rt 28 exit ramp that is just beyond St Dam Rd. I am sure this is not the first time you have been in the area.
