Press Release:

Local Business Provides Family’s with an alternative to Daycare.

A local family owned business in Rome, NY now gives parents a new option to daycare. Side Kicks Family Karate provides an Alternative After School Karate Program that give children the kick they need after school. Nicole Seetge says “We started the program because we saw a need in our community for a structured program for kids after school.” This program in jammed packed with fitness, self-defense, character skills, fun and games, this is not your average program. The program is for all ages, Monday thru Friday after school until 6:00pm. Side Kicks picks up the students and brings them back to their martial arts school where they take a structured martial arts lesson every day, this sure beats playing video games and watch cartoons after school. Every class is packed with exciting martial arts and lessons on life skills such as building confidence and respect for others. The ASP also runs on mid-winter and spring breaks as well as half-days and vacation days.

The ASP will be able allow family’s to have a safe place for their children after school and give the kids the right set of tools they need to help them with bullies and peer pressure. Owner- Sensei Brian Seetge says “When he was a kid he went to his karate dojo after school got out, being in the right environment and with the right kind of influences allowed me to focus on being a better student and martial artist. I didn’t have to worry about drugs or other peer pressures because I had role models that taught me right the life lessons and it was FUN hanging out with my friends practicing something I loved doing” The after school time is a crucial time of the day for kids. If kids have too much FREE time they get into trouble. When school gets out kids have a lot of energy to burn off and are still in learning mode from the day so it is the perfect time for them to learn karate because they are ready. This program has it all a safe nurturing environment with a structured program that give them more than just kicking and punching. If you want more info on the after school program you can call Brian or Nicole at 339-3928 or check out there website and Facebook Fan page. Here is the web address www.romenykarate.com
