Our beloved, Ben Williams.

A tragic beginning to Mother's Day 2008

Hello!

I have a nation wide prayer request for Ben Williams. He was in a tragic motorcycle accident on early Mother's Day, 2008. After a long night and bad fight, Ben Williams left his girlfriends house, in Hunstville, TX, in the early hours, took a turn too fast, the breaks on his GSXR 750 motorcycle locked up, and Ben flew over the handle bars landing in a concrete ditch. Ben layed in a concrete ditch for over 2 hours before anyone found him. He was then life flighted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Medical Center Downtown Houston. He was not wearing his $700 helmet and is suffering from major head injuries and a broken jaw. Ben has been in ICU at Memorial Hermann Hospital ever since; going on 14 days now. Ben is 25 years old, from Deer Park, TX, and has friends and family all over Deer Park, Houston, and Galveston who can't wait for him to come home. So far, there is no signs of him coming home any time soon. His father, John Williams, has set up a website with Ben's story, photos, and daily updates of Ben's progress in the hospital. Below is the link to the site.

In the mean time, Ben's family and friends will be hosting a benefit in honor of Ben on June 7th, 2008 at Dow Park in Deer Park, TX. We will be having a BBQ selling brisket, potato salad, and baked beans at $5 a plate. All of the raised money will go to his father, John Williams, in hopes to help pay for all the medical expenses. Donations will also be accepted, and can be recieved through the website above. All we really ask is that you please keep Ben in your prayers. He needs all the love and support he can get! Ben is fighter and we know he can get through this, but strength in numbers does wonders! SPREAD THE LOVE!

It is truly a tragic to hear about this accident. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time. May God be with you as he has never left your side and never will. To the family, may you find strength in each other.
