Around 2:30AM My friend and I went outside to check out the weather, as we were walking down the street we saw a big flash of green light. We ran over to the area where we saw it. It was at Hillside Gardens on Oxford Road, New Hartford. The police were there, people were outside watching what was going on. It was so bright it hurt your eyes to look at it. Eventually they cut the power and the transformer stopped. It was still on fire as we left though. Someone had told me while I was there that it was caused by the weather. They weight of the sleet on a tree branch had knock down the transformer.
