Whitesboro high school puts on a musical every other year. it is a huge event, they always sell out! the past year, the students at whitesboro high school did the production of les miserables, a play of all singing (this made it even more difficult)
the play is very well known in the broadway world and it was a very big honor to be a part of the production at my school. everyone in the play was very talented and therefore created a great play. many people through out the community come down every year to see the plays and 2007 was no different. almost every single night sold out! the community of whitesboro is always very excited to see all of the talented students that go to school within those 4 walls...they were all very proud of all of us
this year was different than past ones. first of all, the play was a little more difficult than past ones because it was all singing, there was no talking at all. also, the people in this play were closer than normal, everyone basically knew everyone and got along very well. there were alwas jokes and laughter at every single rehearsal and barely any drama between teenagers.
also, the shows themselves were memorable. all of the students worked very hard and did a job well done. a few bloopers made it funny. for example, one guy fell off of the set, made a loud noise, and jumped right back up on his feet and walked off stage. another thing that happened was that a girl had mistakingly had her microphone on mute...no one could hear her talk...luckily she was loud and the show conitnued on without a hitch! finally, the most funny and probably hysterical was when during the first song of the night, there was a microphone mix up. you see, the bishop's microphone was supposed to on but instead they turned on one of the girls who was back stage. she was in the middle fo a conversation where all of a sudden the entire audience heard her say "i really have to pee"...let me just tell you that everyone is still talking about this show. it was one of the greatest memories that most people inthe play will remember from high school
