Jr B Sharp 2013 Benefit Concerrt

The Junior B Sharp Musical Club of Utica (and area) performed their Benefit Concert June 2 at Stone Presbyterian Church in Clinton. For this, the 12th annual edition of the event the student membership voted to send the proceeds to the music therapy program at the Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse. They will help provide instruments for use by pediatric patients during their inpatient hospital says...from slide whistles, kazoos, and harmonicas to keyboards, ukeleles, and guitars. Golisano Children's Hospital offers a full range of general and specialty pediatric services in a child-friendly and state-of-the-art facility.
Previous annual concerts have raised funds for a variety of local and international organization. Local organizations include the Utica Zoo, the House of the Good Shepherd, the Utica Symphony, and the Parkinson's Project of the Presbyterian Home. Other Charities benefiting have been the Music Tnerapy Project at NYC homeless shelters, Heifer International,Doctors Without Borders and the Mr.Holland's Opus Foundation.
