Youth Common Council members, Marquis Palmer (16yrs) and Delvin Moody (17yrs), organize a protest at Seymour Park inNorth Utica. The protest was to show that Youth, particularly in Utica, are opposed to laws that allow killers like George Zimmerman to be acquitted. It was also to demonstrate that although the Zimmerman case gave the idea that young people should be afraid to walk where they are allowed, the Youth in Utica will not submit to this fear and will continue to exercise their right. The event attracted around 40 protests and captured the attention of traffic alongside Herkimer Rd. Much respect and acknowledgement to the young social activists, Palmer and Moody.
