Grateful Dead coming to the area

Grateful Dead member Tom Constanten who will be performing Friday & Saturday Sept 20 & 21HEADLINING both nights at the GRATEFUL DEAD TRIBUTE WEEKEND at Club Aqua, along with Normal Bean Band of Eugene, Oregon. We are pleased to announce that this show will also feature Cecil P-Nut Daniels (Widespread Panic). Tom was a member of the Grateful Dead and was inducted into the ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME in 1994 along with The GRATEFUL DEAD.
Constanten (keyboardist) was classically trained at Berkley. His talent and musical genius brought him to the Grateful Dead scene, as well as having been a college roommate of Phil Lesh. Constanten became the Dead's advisor/keyboard creative spirit, altering normal piano sounds by inserting combs, Dutch dimes, and a gyroscope into the body of the keyboard, as they recorded the masterpiece avant-garde albums Anthem of the Sun and Aoxomoxoa. He joined the touring band in November 1968, and amicably departed in January 1970.
Today T.C. is continuing to perform as a past member of the iconic band, and using the Grateful image to continue thrilling crowds who remember Dead concerts, or wish they had been able to attend the original band’s performances. His collaboration with Normal Bean Band provides a Dead experience through Grateful-like stage performance and many classic hippie favorites mixed with original Normal pieces that are truly Dead-like.
