Utica Weather

My family and I would normally wake up at 8 830 and walk to the corner to watch the boilermaker, but more recenlty we moved to North Utica and I had to get up earlier to make it down to see my nephew run it for his second yr in a row now. Well my eyes take a little while to focus after getting up early. I was standing on the corner with my sister in law watching for my nephew to come by cause I got awesome pics of him running last year and wanted some from this year too. He knew where to look for us cause we figured we would sit in the same spot every year. Well as we both stood there with our camers on hand waiting to see him in a distance thinking we could turn cameras on in time to get a few pics he came right up on us and just about slapped us in our face to let us know he was there. So my picture of him actually running in the boilermaker was from behind (as he pulled up his shorts cause they kept falling down) and a block away cause I could not get camera on quick enough but I did get a great one of him walking back up to meet us. I also took a picture of our group of West Utica Cheerleaders who were cheering to all the runners "your looking good, your looking fine, your almost to the finish line". So many runners put a smile on their face as they heard them cheering, it was great. Another cheer they did if someone went by holding an american flag or wearing american flag clothes they would cheer 'USA USA USA ALL THE WAY" It was a great time down in west utica.
