If you received a claiming to be from GPO Federal Credit Union saying that you card has been deactivated, it is a scam. This has showed up on phones as a picture message, with a local phone number to call 292-1220. GPO has not sent messages to anyone. The image is what has been sent to peoples phones. D not give them any account information...

I got that same scam phone call about 2 hrs ago and I knew it was a scam, because I dont have anything from GPO. Chock it up to those desperate Nigerians.

i also received an automated message to my home phone stating that my card had been deactivated, I would have been concerned if I actually HAD a GPO account.
