Reese Road Elementary - Inauguration

Hi my name is Gina Giambrone and I teach Kindergarten at Reese Road Elementary in Frankfort.

Attached you will find photos of Miss Giambrone's Kindergarten Class and Mrs. Koniowka's Third Grade Class. To teach the students about the inaugration we watched it on television, did some activities, wrote letters to President Obama which we sent to him at the White House and we also had an inaguration party. The students truly learned a lot and had a great time doing it. If you could put their picture on TV they would be very proud! I have sent you pictures of our party - We had a red, white and blue theme. Students wore red, white and blue and also broughtin red, white and blue foods. The teachers worked together to decorate the room - there were pictures of President Obama, flags and red, white and blue. January 20, 2009 was a very important day in history and we tried to instill that in our students. Many are going to remember where they were when they watched Barack Obama become the first African American President

Thank you
