Utica Ambulance Should They Stay?

The recent hype over keeping or getting rid of the utica ambulances have had
many feelings and thoughts. Utica has a very strong support team and can
work well with their ambulance service. I am in Willowvale Fire Company
based out of Chadwicks. I am in support of my brothers in New Hartford but
would have a very hard time if they started a full ambulance service. It
would disappointment me to lose Edward's. I feel this is the same position
Kunkel is being forced into. We must not forget it in this time people
"need" us to be strong. That's what they need, people knowledgeable
assistance and caring attitudes. If your family needed immediate help and
there was a Kunkel ambulance a block away would you send Utica? I mean this
is not complicated I am a 18 year old kid and I know that people need to
just work with eachother. Without relations between Kunkel and Utica what
happens when something big happens and both are together. There needs to be
understanding and a scene of peace between them. Both are great emergency
services for the city of Utica but without teamwork things look grim. Think
about it you may have substantial gains from Utica's ambulance service. But
is it worth putting Kunkel out for money? It most important for all people
EMT, Firefighter or Police Officer we are all brothers unto eachother and
there for the same purpose,Serve Our Community! Stay Safe

You need to understand something, Utica is NOT putting Kunkel out of money. Secondly, Kunkel would NOT call the city when Utica's Paramedic are closer to 1st respond for them. Thirdly, why would you take 3 full time ambulaces off the street?

unfortunately, this boy doesn't understand the whole controversy. The question we should be asking is, : Why will 1-2 ambulances put Kunkle out of business??? when a good part of their business is institution to institution transport.
