On Saturday, February 14, 2009 members of the American Red Cross of the Mohawk Valley Youth Council and the Herkimer RCIL Youth Group joined forces to co-host a Valentine's Day Dance for the residents of Van Allen's Nursing Home in Little Falls. Songs from the 50's and 60's filled the air as Herkimer County youth served punch, cookies and cheesecake made by some of the individuals residing at Van Allen's. Each resident received a stuffed animal for Valentine's Day donated by Roger Skinner from Herkimer.
