March 8,2009- An ice Jam formed on the East Canada Creek in the Village of Dolgeville between Dolge Avenue and Van Buren Street due to ice breakup and runoff from snowmelt and 1.75" inches of rain the night before. The Jam also caused water to back up into Beaver Brook at the bridge on Van Buren Street where the two join. Huge amounts of ice remain on the East Canada Creek at this location and will likely cause problems throughout the night. The ice is stacked 6-10' feet high in places!
