Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser April 18th

FUNDRAISER FOR THE BREAST CANCER 3-DAY

From July 24th - 26th, thousands of women and men will unite and walk 60 miles throughout Boston, MA. The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a weekend of hope, as we honor lives lost, celebrate survivors, promote breast cancer research and help bring breast cancer care to those who so desperately need it.

My sister-in-law and I have committed ourselves to walk and have agreed to raise a minimum of $2,300 each to help fight breast cancer. Net proceeds from the Breast Cancer 3-Day benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure to fund breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs, as well as the National Philantrophic Trust Breast Cancer Fund, to provide an endowment for breast cancer initiatives.

In order to reach our goals, we are hosting a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser April 18th from 4-8 pm at the Elks Lodge #33 in Utica (1315 Champlin Ave).

Unfortunately, breast cancer has become an all too common occurrence among women and men throughout the world. Our mother, Charlene L. White, passed away after battling a very rare form of breast cancer, Inflammatory Breast Carcinoma (IBC), for almost five years on February 20, 2008. She was only 57. Her second granddaughter was born late May, a few months after she passed and her son was married that August. Two days that were hard on all of us.

Now is the time to take action to help end this disease. The more funds that we raise, the sooner we can end this fight. More information about the Breast Cancer 3-Day can be found at http://www.the3day.org/ or by calling 1-800-996-3DAY. You can make donations directly to us (Leslie Williams - Participant ID: 2566983, or Jennifer White - Participant ID: 2801958).

I am also very sorry for your loss Jennifer. I lost my daughter to this monster in 2007. www.eraseibc.com for information about IBC, to see our Medical Board (part of which is at the worlds first IBC dedicated clinic) too few words here.
