It was about 05:15am on Monday march 30Th when water began to spill over the spillway at Hinckley Dam. I arrived on site of the dam about 10:25am with about 10 inches of water going over the spillway. I have never witnessed ice plummeting over the dam but I did get to witness that soon after my arrival. The sequence of pictures are #1 is of upper elevation of dam from road showing water and ice cascading over dam. #2 shows ice hanging on but inching overtop of spillway.#3 has more ice crashing down the face of dam. The noise of the water and crashing ice was very Erie. I have three more pictures which I will post tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed my little adventure. thank you and good evening.

Thanks for the pictures. I spent the majority of my life in the Hinkley area and even though I have enjoyed the past two years living in North Carolina, seeing these pictures brings back good memories of my past.

You had to be standing on rte. 365 to take these pic's. -good thing you didn't get killed or cause an accident...

Nice photos. Don't worry about the other viewers comments. The same happened to me when I posted on here.
