Ugliest Tub Contest Rules

Contest: This is an internet only contest. Contestants submit a photo of their “ugly bathtub” via you news on www.wktv.com. A panel of judges will select the top three candidates, at their discretion, that will constitute the finalist entries. The three finalist entries will be posted on wktv.com and the winner will be determined to be the photo that has the most votes cast in its
favor during the voting period. In case of a tie, the winner will be determined by a coin toss between the two top vote getters.

Entry: No purchase necessary. Contestants upload the digital entry photograph using you news on www.wktv.com. Online entries will be accepted beginning April 23, 2009 and until 11:59PM, May 13, 2009. Contestants are allowed to submit only one (1) entry per household. The Top 3 finalist photos will be posted on the WKTV station website on Monday, May 18, 2009. Voting for the Grand Prize winner, from among the Top 3 finalists, will be accepted online at www.wktv.com and will begin at 12:00PM, May 18, 2009 and continue until 2:00PM, May 22, 2009. Voting for the Top 3 finalist is limited to one vote per household per day.

The winner of the Grand Prize will be announced during NewsChannel 2 at Sunrise on Friday, May 22, 2009.

Prize: Only one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize will be:
1. New Re-Bath Tub and Shower Liner installed over existing standard steel or cast iron tub only and connected to existing drain with new drain and overflow covers. Homeowner may choose style and color available in the Leo A. Kline showroom. Additional charges may apply if existing drain needs to be replaced.
2. Three-piece wall system including new greenboard, soap dish, shower tower and window kit (if applicable). Homeowner may choose style and color available in Leo A. Kline showroom.
3. Tub/shower fixtures including new plumbing risers in tub area only. Homeowner may choose style and finish available in the Leo A. Kline showroom.
4. Shower doors with double towel bar and choice of obscure or clear glass. Homeowner may choose color available in the Leo A. Kline showroom.

The value of the Grand Prize, including materials and labor, will be up to and not to exceed $4,500.

Eligibility: Contestants must be legal U.S. residents, 18 years or older and a New York State homeowner in Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, Otsego, Onondaga, Oswego, Cayuga, Cortland, Tompkins, Yates and Seneca County. Eligibility of the Top 3 finalists will be verified via e-mail before the Top 3 finalists are posted on with WKTV website as official Top 3 finalist selections.

Employees of WKTV, Smith Media License Holdings, LLC, Leo A. Kline and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win.

Conditions: Contest winner must take possession of the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize is non-transferable.

Winner is responsible for acquiring any and all permits required for the construction of the Grand Prize.

Winner is responsible for payment of all permit fees, federal, state and local taxes on the prize and for any other expenses not specified herein, and relating to the acceptance and use of their prize. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or equivalent.

Construction of the Grand Prize is contingent upon the winner’s compliance with all prevailing local laws and delivery and installation will take place at the discretion of Leo A. Kline.

By participating in the contest, the winners agree to have their name, voice or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.

The winner will be required to sign a liability release prior to accepting the Grand Prize and agree to hold WKTV, its corporate licensee, Smith Media License Holding, LLC, its corporate parent, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them, Leo A. Kline, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them, harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

Neither WKTV, its corporate licensee, Smith Media License Holding, LLC, its corporate parent, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them, Leo A. Kline, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them are responsible for printing or typographical errors in any contest related materials or for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible or postage-due mail or entries.

WKTV, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the WKTV Web Site or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. The station further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
