This is my brother's hideous bathtub. He and his family are forced to start each morning in this cesspool, known as their bathtub. Your eyes are not deceiving you, that really is wood and nails, not caulk, holding the tub to the walls. Upon closer inspection, mold and soap scum can be seen on the wood. About once a week, my brother cleans the bathtub, by scraping and disinfecting the wood!
Besides wood, there is caulk that didn't quite hold to the edges, but it did permanently attach itself to random places, throughout the bathtub. There is actually a waterstain underneath the bathtub on the first floor, but I was only allowed to submit three pictures. Between the first and second floors, my brother has a bucket to catch drips, up in the rafters!
My brother and his family are NOT low-life people. They both work respectable jobs, pay their bills, and are doing a fine job raising their two-year son. The house belongs to our 83 year-old grandmother, who lives on a fixed income and cannot afford to make many home repairs. My brother does the best he can to keep a nice home for his family, but there's not much he can do with this mess. PLEASE central New York!!! Help my brother get the bathtub he deserves! Thank you!!!
Yes, they bathe a baby in that bathtub...poor kid!
