My 1941 tub needs a 2009 Makeover!!!!

My house is a SEARS Kit Home built by my husband's grandfather in 1941(we have the original paperwork)! We have iron and hardwater stains not to mention mold. We have been trying to save to remodel our bathroom but it is so very expensive. It does matter what I use on this tub it does not work! This would be wonderful for my family, especially my 10 year old daughter who is embarassed to take a shower!!!
