Fire at TYHILL FARM, Rome NY

Barn Fire at TYHILL Farm, Rome, NY

A barn fire started at approximately 1 am on Saturday,May 23rd 2009. The farm is located at the intersection of Rome - Westernville Road and Elmer Hill Road in Rome. A similar barn fire occurred here in August 1975 where 1 boy died and another was seriously burned. It is unknown at this time if anyone or any cattle were harmed in the fire.

That is sad for the little boy to die in the fire :(

Mahlon, My brother Bill worked and lived at this farm for years.
