Begun as a bet with Ilion Grad Eric Lachacz, the Mott Marathon has become an annual event. This is coordinated by Ilion High English teacher, Jim Mott and is open to boys in the Senior Class. Each boy must complete 105 laps around the Ilion High School Track. The boys chose to raise money for the family of Brendan Krol, who has leukemia. Brendan's dad is a teacher at the High School. This event was held on June 10, 2009 after school. The boys raised over $500 for this cause.
