just befor 330 pm today an accident occured at the intersection of nort street and central ave in ilion. the timing couldnt have been worse. remington arms, ilions largest employer, and ilion school buses were releasing for the day.... the intersection is only two blocks from remington arms and had traffic backed up all through downtown. police were quick to respond, one witness sai about 35 seconds. no body had any imformation at the scene but an elderly man was taken away by ambulance with what looked like minor injuries
