Rome Drowning

The Rome Police Department is investigating the death of a Verona man after his body was recovered from the Mohawk River Friday.

Rome Police and Fire Department members responded to the Mohawk River near East Whitesboro Street at around 6:45 pm Friday night for a report of a missing swimmer.

Luke A. Marshall, 28, Verona, was swimming with several friends, went underwater and did not return to the surface.
