On June 26, 2009 two sisters from Sauquoit, Abigail age 7 and Theresa age 5 donated their hair to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to fianancially disadvantaged children who are suffering from long-term medical hair loss. Both girls had 12 inches of hair cut off. The girls went on the Locks of Love website saw pictures of some of the children that needed a wig and decided that's what they wanted to do.

My daughter also donated her hair last year to Locks of Love, she was 10. It is a good message for young kids & it makes them feel good that they helped someone who needs it!
