My sister Joy told me about this humingbird mother in her nest just outside of Boonville and I HAD to go up and take a picture, The total size of this nest is less than a golf ball... and the momma's body is smaller than the first section of your thumb and her eggs are about the size of a jelly bean!

We have dozens of hummingbirds around the feeders at our house. I have seen them feed,land on branches,squabble over food like mini fighter pilots, but I have NEVER seen a nest ! That is AWESOME ! Such GREAT cammo. It looks like a knot on the tree.
