This afternoon I walked out my front door to see flames being shot out the house down the road from mine. The neighborhood was out to observe. At first we did not know if the owner was home or if he was away at work. The neighbors tried to get a hold of the owner no answer on the cell phone, as the flames grew the tension and fright grew also. There was also word that the dog might still be in the house. The owner got out of the house alive with what looks like minor wounds, his beloved best friend unfortunately did not. Sorrow hit the neighbors as the firefighters carry the dog in a blanket out of the house. The firefighters got the flames out fairly quickly but not in enough time to save the house. The family on pleasant ave has been hit with pure devastation.
