I really cannot understand how people can put pictures up so quickly on here. please have some consideration for our families that lost people in this fire.

The codes dept has been notified numerous times about wiring issues, structural issues and lack of fire exits. I'm not at all surprised that the fire was as big as it was. If we had a codes department in the city of Utica 0 deaths - No Fire !

Our place is as big of a fire trap as James St. We have 45o residents. Lets look at the codes issues here before we loose hundreds of residents all because palms are greased and violations are overlooked - let death take a holiday !

This is definately part of the UTica problem that Ive been talking about. The higher ups in Utica are so concerned witht making a profit that consideration for how others are living never even crosses thier mind. Sad how we just accept this.

They only fined the landlord a hundred dollars for failing to register the apartment building with the UFD inspection codes. Hopefully, they take it a little more seriously this time. I live right across the street from there, and it wasn't a pretty

I have friends that lived in that building. They lost everything. My heart goes out to those that have lost family members.

Under the circumstances, Lotz AND the Utica FD Should be held accountable for the Death toll in this terrible fire. Just because they issued a citation doesn't mean they did their job!

i can't believe this... i just stayed in one of the victims apartment with my boyfriend and our newborn child 2 weekends ago. he was a friend of ours. i'm so sorry. thinking of his and the other victims family.

Tim Klotz should take the rent from these hole in the walls and pay for 4 funerals. He let his own family members live in this building knowing that it wasn't up to codes. Nice Brother!!!!

may we all pray for all whom have had to step in this building from tenants to the firefighters who searched in heavy blinding smoke in heat that was hotter then your oven and the 911 dispatcher who listened to the scream for help and the familys

I'm not one to judge! For there is a judgement day and Tim the Landord will have to answer to the almighty. I just want to pray for all the families that lost love ones and materials item. The material things can be replaced but LIFE is for ever gone
