Dolgeville Pop Warner Jr. Midget team and Cheerleaders will wear their pink socks and pink hair ribbons all this month to support Breast Cancer Awareness. These great kids are so proud to be supporting such a good cause. The response by the community for this has been great. To think that such a small gesture has had such a great impact is so touching. The team is playing against Ilion this Sunday, Oct. 18 at 2:00 on their home field. These kids and their coaches would love for people to come and show their support. There will be a can for donations at the consession stand for Cancer research. Last week Dolgeville Pop Warner donated $260 raised from the 50/50 for this research.

Please do not use this post as a venting location for frustration with the inclusion /exclusion of picture, socks, etc. This as extremely positive and our boys should not be subjected to adult issues. Congratualtions to ALL the DCS Popwarner kids.

I think it was really rotten of the other team to not enclude the whole entire POP WARNER in on this.Thought u were suspose to do all this as a team.It was very selfish of them to not include the whole entire POP WARNER.

I just wanted to make a note...I cannot believe that anyone would have an issue with a team of boys and girls wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness!! It wasn't a selfish gesture.....so why is it being treated that way? How unfair to that team.

Some people just are never happy. To the two awesome moms, great idea and to the team for showing respect wearing them. You made alot of people proud, keep it up..

In fact, I'd bet you ARE that Dolgeville mom.

You sound just like the Dolgeville mom who is mad that your kids didn't wear pink socks. The socks were DONATED by two awesome moms. Put your money where your mouth is and go buy your own socks. Leave this site for the praise our kids deserve!!

So, why didn't Ilion think about doing it too. It's not just up to us....

Doesnt Dolgeville Pop Warner have more than one football team? It'd be nice to see the ENTIRE organization posted here. The more involvement by the teams, the more funds which get donated! Think PINK Dolgeville.
