I was on my way to work last night when I noticed that lights were on in the 1834 Herkimer County Jail and that there was presumably a figure standing in front of a top window on the top floor. It looked spooky yet funny at the same time, especially at night.
And FYI, the "figure" in the window was not a ghost (despite the numerous claims that the jail is haunted) but a cardboard cutout of the jail's most famous resident, Chester Gillette.
