The Bald Eagles have returned to the Mohwawk valley
as the have for the last several years. Bald Eagles are
easily Identified by their white head and massive talons. We have been watching them along the Mohawk river for the last 4 years, and I am always in awe to even been in the presence of such a magnificent Bird. The Eagles can be seen Along the Mohawk River, from Just north of Rome, and Below Delta Dam, all the way up to hte Boonville Gorge (Rt.46)

I saw a magnificent Bald Eagle fly in front of the Richfield Springs Central School late this afternoon. My Daughter told me that a few hours earlier a group of young children in back of the school had seen perhaps this same beautiful creature !

How lucky you are to get a picture like this - great shot. I will have to start taking rides up that way to see if I might be as lucky to see one. Yes, thanks for sharing.

Take more pictures...what great moments to observe! PBS is airing a terrific Nature Special on Bald Eagles, watched it last night. It is hard to believe that this magnificant bird has made Mohawk Valley a stop in its long journey. Thanks for sharing!
