This is the lighting ceremony of the 2010 Ice Palace at the winter carnival in Saranac Lake New York on Saturday February 6th. All I can say is wow this was amazing the palace will be up for another week go check it out right on Route 86 in Saranac Lake.

Is it still built by inmates? I thought that the prison up there closed & this was no longer going to be. It's amazing to see what can be built from ice blocks, even if it is SO cold up there!
