Every year the star magnolia tree in Helena’s backyard is a welcome harbinger of Spring’s renewal. The vibrant white blossoms brighten the dreary remnants of Winter’s hold. Washington DC has its cherry blossoms, but Helena’s star magnolia is as magnificent and brightens the West Utica neighborhood.
