The Thomas M. Lindsey Memorial Youth Athletic League opened its 2010 season on Saturday, June 26 at Quinn Park in Utica. Following an opening ceremony which included a moment of silence in memory of fallen Utica Police Officer Thomas M. Lindsey, the first two games took place. As part of Major League Baseball's Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program the league empowers kids to be kids and play ball. The City of Utica, local businesses and individuals stepped up to the plate to make the program a reality in Utica for the second year.
