The Building Futures Foundation of Madison Cortland ARC is hosting the Seventh Annual Ride for the ARC on Saturday, August 21, 2010.
Ride for the ARC is a charity all-wheel ride (motorcycles, cars, bicycles…anything street legal is welcome). The Building Futures Foundation funds grants at Madison Cortland ARC for projects that enrich the lives of the people Madison Cortland ARC serves.
The ride will again have two routes this year. One route begins at the Madison Cortland ARC offices located at 16 Crawford St. in Cortland, and another route begins at the Winoa Hall Activity Center located at 719 Lenox Ave. in Oneida. Registration at both starting points begins at 9:15 a.m. and rides take off at 10 a.m.
Registration fee will be $20 for Rider and $15 for passenger.
“While we always welcome individual registrations, this year, riders may form a “riding team” with their friends and come up with a name and even coordinating outfits for the ride, similar to a bowling league,” says Jolene Cleaver, Community Development Coordinator at Madison Cortland ARC.
Both routes will end at the Wampsville Firemen’s Field with a barbecue lunch, raffles and entertainment.
