We like to keep our our Cardinels fed as this is about the 4th generation of them. We're constantly trying to beat the squirrels at their own game, and believe me, we've tried tons of things to deter them.
However, as you can see, even the oil that was spread on our shepard's hook didn't quite work for this one. After watching him try to climb the pole for about 15 minutes or so, and slide back down...SquirrelBoy final jumped from the cedar trees onto the feeder, and we found him hanging upside down from the feeder, while eating.
