Many local residents and spectators gathered in Lakefront Park in Cooperstown NY. They were there to voice their opinion on why they are against drilling for gas in this area. They are hoping for a ban on Hydraulic Fracturing with horizontal drilling for gas. The dangers, risks and effects were also discussed. This group of people then made their way through Cooperstown waving signs and banners as they headed to a meeting at the county office building.

I think we should deffinatly drill for gas in CNY. brings in more money to the community. i hope the gas company is the highest bidder!!!

What we drink, what we eat, what we smell, what we see, what we hear, what we breathe, where we swim, where we play….is for sale to the highest bidder. We need to ban natural gas drilling in New York and get on board with renewable energy!
