Many local residents and spectators gathered in Lakefront Park in Cooperstown NY. They were there to voice their opinion on why they are against drilling for gas in this area. They are hoping for a ban on Hydraulic Fracturing with horizontal drilling for gas. The dangers, risks and effects were also discussed. This group of people then made their way through Cooperstown waving signs and banners as they headed to a meeting at the county office building.

I think we should deffinatly drill for gas in CNY. brings in more money to the community. i hope the gas company is the highest bidder!!!

Natural gas is an essential nutrient to our civilization. Do you heat your house with ng? CNY is in desperate need of economic development. It's our responsibility to develop this natural resource and bring it to market.Regulate!Develop!Progress!
