ROME, N.Y. -- Music lovers braved the cold and chilly weather out in Rome on Wednesday night for the Rome Free Academy’s Black Knights marching band concert.
It’s called their annual ‘Wednesday Night Lights’.
It was their last chance to perform their show one more time at RFA Stadium before the big season finale and to honor their seniors.
“These kids have been working long and hard ever since June. So they've been working since June, practicing hard, every week getting the show ready, everything tightened down and it's only been getting better and better. We are all really proud of their work”, says the marching band director Steve Russell.
RFA will join New Hartford and Westmoreland as schools that will compete in the Field Band Championships at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse on Sunday.
