Boonville teen, Indiana woman win Boilermaker 5K

The Boilermaker 5K race kicked off at 7:15 a.m., and by 7:31 we had a winner!

UTICA – The Boilermaker 5K race kicked off at 7:15 a.m., and by 7:31 we had a winner!

The men’s winner of the 5K race is 16-year-old Tyler Fauvelle of Boonville, who has been running since his freshman year of high school and finished the race with an unofficial time of 16:11.

The record for the men’s 5K is 15:18, which was set by Kelan McKenna of New Hartford in 2016.

The women’s winner of the 5K race is 24-year-old Amanda Behnke of Bloomington, Indiana, who set a new course record with an unoffical time of 17:59.  

The former record of the women’s 5K was 18:04, set by Jessie Cardin of Sutton, Massachusetts, in 2014.
