WHITESBORO, N.Y. -- A GoFundMe page is set up to assist four families who lost everything in a 4-unit apartment complex on Clinton Street in Whitesboro Friday evening.
The page appears to be set up by the owners of the building, who are now asking for help for the four tenants displaced by this fire.
The goal set by the page organizer is $20,000 raised. So far the page has received over $4,000 in donations. The money raised will be distributed evenly amongst the four families.
13 people displaced in total, 8 of them were children.
The families from two units are from out-of-town and do not have a place to stay.
According to the GoFundMe page, the American Red Cross has already given a $500 donation to each family.
