LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. -  A four hour manhunt in Little Falls is over after the suspect was found in the woods.

Around 4 o'clock Friday night, New York State Police responded to a call at 1232 Shells Bush Road in Little Falls for an attempted burglary. No one was home at the time and state police say a neighbor from across the street confronted the suspect. That neighbor and the suspect got into a physical altercation. The neighbor was injured and transported to Bassett Hospital for an arm injury.

The suspect then fled into the woods before law enforcement got to the scene.

State police, Forest Rangers, and Environmental Conservation Police searched for the suspect for hours using several canine units, a police drone, and a helicopter to capture the suspect. The suspect was caught around 8:15 Friday night according to police.

The male suspect was taken into custody and charges are pending for attempted burglary and assault.

Investigators also found the suspect is currently wanted out of Maryland.
