In addition to the weekly produce distribution, two fun and educational events will be held highlighting food nutrition. A story walk will be set up in the area of the garden planters, August 19-23. Children and their families can read and walk through the pages of a vegteable adventure story. The story walk will be located near the Charlotte Street entrance of the building.
Eat Smart New York will hold a free food demonstration and tasting on August 27 at 11:00 a.m. The demonstration can be found in the first floor recreation room of the county office building and will include healthy recipe options.
