10-17-20 SCORES: West Canada Valley defeats Little Falls; Herkimer's late comeback effort not enough in loss to Holland Patent

Boys Soccer 
Little Falls/Dolgeville 1, West Canada Valley 5*

Jaeden Beam's three goals leads West Canada Valley Indians to win at home over the Little Falls Mounties. 

Kolby Weakley found the back of the net twice in the first half for the Indians. Senior Andrew Soron and sophomore Edvin Selimovic each tallied two assists in the win. 

Senior Goalkeeper Caden Ludwig stopped seven shots for West Canada Valley. James Longwell made 13 saves for the Mounties. 

With this win, the Indians are now 2-1-1 on the season. The Mounties fall to 0-4.

Holland Patent 2, Herkimer 1*

With 16:41 left in regulation, sophomore Dylan McGuire kicked a right-footed blast to the left-corner pocket of the net to give the Golden Knights a 2-0 lead. 

The Magicians would make a comeback effort with a running, toe-kicked goal by freshman Kyle Carney scored with 5:57 remaining. 

But the Golden Knights would hold off a late game comeback attempt and win 2-1. 

With this win Holland Patent is 2-0 to start the season and Herkimer is now 0-4.
