10-19-19 SPORTS EXPRESS WRAP: Oneida, Proctor stay unbeaten and capture league titles with wins; Comets handle defending champion Checkers with 8-2 victory

This week's featured Athlete of the Week is: Logan Hosler, Morrisville-Eaton football

Oneida captured the Class B East title, its first league crown since 2008 with a 13-6 win over New Hartford, Friday. The Indians also improved to 7-0 with the victory.

The Proctor Raiders also ran the table in the regular season, finishing 7-0 with a 32-0 win over Cicero-North Syracuse. They took the Class AA-2 title, their first league championships since 2015.

The Utica Comets improved to 4-0 so far this season with an 8-2 win over the defending Calder Cup Champion, Charlotte Checkers. Reid Boucher scored his sixth goal of the year, while Kole Lind and Sven Baertschi each put in a goal and assist in the win.

Michael DiPietro made 24 saves for the Comets for his second straight win.
